Objectives

The overarching objectives of the proposed educational aid are:

  • giving words a specific form and enabling them to visualise;
  • facilitating contact with words and operating with them;
  • making it easier for children to remember words according to their own rhythm of development;
  • supporting children in learning to read;
  • creating opportunities to observe, compare and analyse words’ structure.

Its use

The “From Picture to Word” collection consists of a guidebook, picture materials containing language games and combinations of language exercises, as well as labels with captions for individual pictures (all packed in a box). This material can be used as a diagnostic aid, as well as a basis for creating individual therapy programs for children with difficulties in communicating with various etiologies. Games also help to develop language concepts in all preschool and school-age children. The accompanying tutorial explains in detail the methods of using the materials.
