Policy related to AAC in education
Guidelines for the implementation of school integration, including through Alternative Augmentative Communication (A.A.C.), in favour of pupils with sensory disabilities in vision, hearing and speech comprehension and production for the school year 2023-2024.
Main objectives
The Region, which has always been committed to guaranteeing school integration in favour of pupils with disabilities and language
comprehension/production difficulties.
Therefore authorities intend to enrich the interventions to be provided in favour of pupils with sensory deficits, by supporting expert operators in order to further favour their inclusion in the class group and improve their communication skills, through the provision of the Alternative Augmentative Communication service – C.A.A.
