The dictionary can be used to learn words and expressions in Romanian Sign Language.

Romanian Sign Language is a language in its own right that has, like any other language, a structure, a lexicon, grammatical rules and other specific components. 

Romanian Sign Language is the language used by deaf communities in Romania.

The online dictionary (www.dlmg.ro) can be used to learn words and expressions in Romanian Sign Language.

Strong points: 

• The sign language (SL) is the main form of communication for the majority of deaf people; their mother tongue is SL and not Romanian, as one might think.
• For children with profound hearing impairment, the use of sign language is essential in learning to read and write.

DLMG is a software and an application that contains the translation of the written word into a specific sign language sign. Translation of written words into sign language is done through short videos.The video displaying each sign/phrase can be re-played at a different speed to make it easier to learn the correct movements.

The online dictionary contains a wide range of words and expressions arranged in alphabetical order and offers the possibility of searching for a specific word or expression

There are also several variations of signs for a single word. 

Weak points: 

• Limited number of signs/expressions compared to Romanian language.
• Too few expressions/sentences that can be useful in developing communication skills in sign language.
• You need an internet connection to use it
